Our neighbours have parked a caravan on our driveway which blocks our access. What can we do?

Our neighbours have parked a caravan on their driveway which means we cannot access the rear of our property to get to bins etc. Is there anything we can do about it?

You will need to inspect your title deeds in order to establish what legal rights of way you have to and from your property and also investigate whether there are any restrictive covenants that might prohibit the parking of caravans on the properties.

If there are no covenants restricting the parking of caravans then you may be looking to establish whether the action which is being taken by your neighbours is interfering with your rights of way over land giving access to the rear of your property. No-one should interfere with these rights but clearly we cannot give a definitive answer unless we have sight of the title deeds.

If you wish us to make further investigations in this regard we would be happy to do so in which circumstances please refer back to us.
