Window smashed by cricket ball: can the club be held responsible for repairs?

My house is within a few metres of the local cricket pitch, and we have recently had the kitchen window smashed by a cricket ball. Can they be held liable for the cost of the repairs?

The principles involving cricket and golf balls going astray are well established and in most cases the club or ground owner are responsible. It would only be if it were not foreseeable that a ball could leave the grounds and cause damage that they would escape liability.
